Desert Sage (Desert Magic, Mountain Sage, Grey Sage, New Mexico Sage, Sagebrush Smudge)

This aromatic shrub thrives in the windswept deserts of the Santa Fe/Taos New Mexio area. It has skinny, branched leaves and a light brown color.

Desert Sage has a warm herbaceous aroma that is a bit peppery (think Bay leaves or Mint tea). It is used for cleansing and purifying, protection, and inner strength. It is said to bring pleasant thoughts and relieve headaches and anxiety.

Cleansing & Purification.
The Desert Sage Smudge Stick  is wild-crafted and each bundle is hand tied.It is often used on both individuals and spaces through ritual burning, dispersing negativity, and protection. Ritual burning puts out a lot of soothing smoke. Very refreshing, relaxing, and clearing --- like traveling through the clouds...Potent and purifying, burn a smoke wand -just light the tip, blow it out and either wave the smoke wand in the air or place in a fire/heat resistant container (stone, glass or metal) with sand or salt placed therein to hold the wand upright. To extinguish, invert the wand into the sand or salt.

You can crumble it up and burn it on charcoal discs.
